Wickenhall mill redevelopment This video, taken by Peter on the 26th June 2008 shows, as first depicted in the video of October last year, that the flooding problems, and resultant damage to the access lane for the properties of local residents has yet to be addressed. It illustrates quite clearly that the problem was not a ’one off’ due to exceptional weather conditions but has become an all too frequent occurrence associated with heavy rain. When compared with the earlier video you can see that the current site owner/developer has done nothing to address this situation and the local authority is still at present denying any responsibility. In search of a solution to this issue, and hopefully prevent further damage to the lane, and possibly their homes, local residents have approached their local MP, Mr Phil Woolas who has expressed displeasure at, and has asked for explanations for, the conduct of both the developer and the local authority.
