If the Warriors don't pick up the pace on defense, Don Nelson isn't sure they can win this race for eighth place. Baron Davis had 33 points and nine assists, Stephen Jackson added 20 points and the Warriors stayed in a tie with Denver for the West's final berth in their highest-scoring game of the season, a 140-132 win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. Andris Biedrins had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Warriors (47-31) as they kept pace in the power-packed West, where one club is certain to end up with the best record in NBA history for a non-playoff team. The Nuggets, who beat the Clippers 117-99, visit Golden State on Thursday night for a meeting that could determine the fates of the NBA's two highest-scoring teams. Nelson knows his team is another prototype of his long line of offensive juggernauts that play awfully small on the other end. The underground area is divided into 4 different colored layers of dirt. Rocks are scattered in the dirt. The sky is at the top of the screen. The player controls Dig Dug. He moves through horizontal and vertical tunnels. When Dig Dug digs new tunnels he moves slowly. When he is on the surface or in an existing tunnel, he moves faster. The object of the game is for Dig Dug to destroy all the monsters and go to the next round. Monsters are trapped in caves. A monster may get out of a cave two ways. Dig Dug may dig him out. Then, the monster chases Dig Dug. The monster may also get out of the cave by turning into a ghost. As a ghost, he cannot be destroyed. The ghost does not travel in the tunnels. He travels through the dirt, and can travel diagonally. However, he reappears as the monster when he goes into a tunnel. The monster moves faster than Dig Dug in vertical tunnels and slower on the surface. He destroys Dig Dug by catching him. In addition, Fygar can destroy Dig Dug by breathing fire on him. Fygar can only breathe fire horizontally. The fire can penetrate the dirt. Dig Dug destroys the monsters by pumping them up until they burst, or by causing rocks to drop on them. To pump up and destroy a monster, the player presses and holds down the pump button. It is possible to stun a monster for a few seconds by pressing the pump button once or twice. While a monster is stunned, Dig Dug may pass over him without being destroyed. If 2 monsters are very close together, only one may be stunned. The other will catch and destroy Dig Dug. Dig Dug must dig tunnels under the rocks to get them to drop. A rock may fall in a vertical or horizontal tunnel. A rock also goes through a thin layer of dirt from one tunnel to the next. In a vertical tunnel, Dig Dug may stay directly under a rock and it will not drop. However, in a horizontal tunnel, Dig Dug must move out from under a rock right away, or he will be crushed. After two rocks are dropped, a vegetable (worth extra points) appears in a tunnel in the center of the screen. A player has 10 seconds to capture (touch) the vegetable or it will disappear. There is only one vegetable per round. The game progresses by rounds. Round 1 starts with four monsters (one Fygar and three Pookas) and three rocks. The vegetable is a carrot. One flower on the surface (top right of the screen) represents Round 1. Two flowers represent Round 2, etc. As the rounds progress, the monsters move a little faster, and are better at avoiding falling rocks. In each round, the last monster tries to escape. If he is not caught by Dig Dug, he exits on the surface (top left). The game ends when all of Dig Dug's lives are used up. A player may continue to play at the beginning of the same round (level) by following instructions on the screen. He has 16 seconds to insert a coin(s). CHICAGO (AP) -- The rookie threw down an authoritative dunk, drawing cheers from Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers fans alike. No, not THAT rookie. The other one. Kirk Hinrich extended his impressive streak Monday night, dunking for the first time this year, outplaying his more-heralded rookie counterpart and leading the Bulls to a 92-81 victory over the Cavaliers. Hinrich finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while LeBron James had 18 points with only three rebounds and three assists. "Maybe a little bit," Hinrich said when asked if playing James gave him any added motivation. "He's really a great, great player. You want to play against great players and you want to do well against them." Hinrich isn't so bad himself. Solid all season, he's turned his game up a notch recently, scoring a season-high 25 points on Feb. 21 and recording the first triple-double by a rookie this year Saturday. He led the Bulls on both ends of the floor Monday, scoring 11 during a decisive third-quarter spurt and helping shut James down. James was only 7-of-17 from the floor, and three of those field goals were on breakaway dunks off of steals. "I wasn't surprised by it," James said. "I know he can play." The loss was only the second in six games for Cleveland, but it was a costly one. A victory would have pulled the Cavaliers within percentage points of Boston for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland while Carlos Boozer had 13 rebounds. "It's disappointing, but we have to keep our heads up," James said. "We won a lot of games last week that we weren't supposed to win, so we're going to win a lot more games to make this playoff push." After leading by as many as 16 points in the first half, Eric Williams cut the Bulls' lead to 55-45 on a layup with 8:30 left in the third. But the Bulls wouldn't let Cleveland get any closer, thanks in large part to Hinrich. Eddy Curry made a pair of free throws, and Hinrich followed with an impressive save to set up another Chicago trip to the foul line. Knocked to the floor near the baseline in heavy traffic, he managed to bat a ball heading out of bounds back onto the court. Jerome Williams grabbed it, drew a foul and made a free throw. A few minutes later, Hinrich was falling to the ground when he heaved the ball up and toward the basket. The ball went in somehow, giving Chicago a 65-47 lead with 4:13 to play. After a timeout, Hinrich made three free throws and a 3-pointer, all but sealing the victory for the Bulls. "Kirk's been unreal," said Curry, who had 18 points and seven rebounds. "He was able to sit back and slowly get better, slowly get better without all the pressure (James and Carmelo Anthony) had. Right now, I think he's playing the best basketball on the team." The Bulls took control of the game with a 22-5 second-quarter run that gave them a 45-30 lead. Hinrich capped the spurt with a 3-pointer in front of James, but that wasn't even his most impressive shot of the run. With 5:27 left in the second quarter, Hinrich drove past James and Ilgauskas to score on a running dunk. For the first time in a cricket game, players can enjoy full control over foot choice, shot, direction, power and timing, all governed through the use of both analog sticks. A back or front foot stroke is selected with the left stick, then shot timing and direction are judged with the right stick. Power is determined by how far the stick is moved – a slight tap can nudge the ball for a quick single or a firm push can send the ball fizzing away to the boundary.
