Danny begins acting manic and belligerent in reaction to a season one episode he viewed for the first time in Mexico. Because of this, Dr. Garry refuses to continue therapy with him and Gretchen decides to kick him out of the house. Danny is spiraling down fast. As he hits rock bottom, his AA group stages an intervention, accusing him of relapse behavior. Danny's sponsor Jason forces him to take a drug test and refuses to leave his side for 72 hours. During that time, Danny vents his frustrations to his consoling friend while Gretchen does her best to calm her concerned children.

Real World: Hollywood Ep. 4 Joey's Intervention. Joey asks his roommates to keep an eye on him at the bar, but after Dave requests for Joey to slow down, he feels that his being babysat.

After a long night of partying, Joey has a break down and hits rock bottom.

When Joey breaks down after partying again and reveals his struggle with addiction, Brianna blows him off for another guy. When the roommates start their job – an Improv acting class - Greg has a bad attitude and starts pulling pranks on the roommates. Dave and Kim start hooking up and try to establish a “friends with benefits” relationship.

As Joey prepares to live in his new house, Michael allows his nerdy friends to move into the apartment. Joey soon tires of everyone sneaking into his home and using the pool and orders everyone not to come by when he's not there--but he finds out someone obviously didn't pay attention when he discovers that the house has burned down. Meanwhile, now that Gina has resumed dating her former boyfriend Jimmy (recurring guest star ADAM GOLDBERG), who doesn't know that he is Michael's father, it's impossible for Joey to keep the secret.
