Communists and leftist parties were in power in Finland in the seventies. USSR interfered constantly to the internal matters of Finland . "Anti-soviet" activity was strictly forbidden. Books and films were forbidden for political reasons (also some mainstream American films, starring Greta Garbo, James Cagney, Frank Sinatra etc.). Right-wing political organizations were not allowed. Private radio-stations were forbidden. The Secret State Police started investications instantly, if any forbidden political material was found. This period is called "Finlandization" (see Google). Extreme political resistange, which is descriped here, was dangerous. Some people were arrested and some were jailed for such activity. The reason for arrests and jail sentences was "vandalism" or something else, because officially there were no political prisoners in Finland. -------- 1979 "hypnosis-program": You are sitting peacefully.
