The Detroit Red Wings had the finals for Lord Stanley's Cup in their sights, with only the Dallas Stars left in the tracks of a big red train bound for glory. Showing their intensity and desire, the Red Wings hushed the crowd at American Airlines Center with a dandy by Kris Draper, who wound up putting in a puck that bounced off of his face. Draper's goal set the winged wheel in motion, and soon Detroit had two. Pavel Datsyuk banged home a rebound top shelf off the initial point shot from Nicklas Lidstrom. Dallas Drake made it three, banging the puck past Marty Turco from the edge of the crease, and digging the well a little deeper, making is just a bit more difficult for the Stars to climb out of.
