On January 15th 2008, the Community Development Department received a request for annexation of an approximately 1.04 acre property currently addressed as 1825 North Polk Street from George and Debbie Germer. The applicant had been approached by the City's Public Works Department regarding a potential Local Improvement District (LID) to extend water services to a number of properties located on North Polk. The applicant owns approximately 7.9 acres of property adjacent to North Polk, only the applicant's home and a small area of land (0.18 acres) is currently located within the City Limits. In order to make the assessment method for the LID to work, it is necessary for the applicant to annex an additional 1.04 acres of property into the City.
