"I don't think for a minute Sadiq Khan would do anything not in the interests of this country. He is a member of this country, of parliament and is a whip and what has happened is highly questionable. "It's very regrettable. This member of Parliament deserves the respect which he has been given by his constituents. "If he felt there was an issue of national interest Mr Khan himself would have made police aware. It is the wrong way for police to act." Jack Straw, Justice Minister, said he had no knowledge of the facts but has ordered an internal inquiry. He added: "It is completely unacceptable for an interview to be conducted by a MP on a constituent matter or in any other issue to be recorded." I realized I forgot to turn my hud off when Johnny gets home after his car breaks down.This part takes place 3 days before Johnny's death in the car accident. During these three days we get an idea of Johnny's life. It turns out somebody is stalking Johnny and may know him. Johnny drives home as usual and accidently crashes into a telephone pole. he then realizes that he can't drive home, considering his car broke down. So he walks home and continues his journey.

Chief Surveillance Commissioner Sir Christopher Rose is to carry out an inquiry into allegations that a Labour MP was bugged. Labour whip Sadiq Khan was apparently recorded by police while visiting terror suspect Babar Ahmad who is awaiting extradition to the US at Woodhill Prison in Milton Keynes. Justice Secretary Jack Straw said the "fact-finding" inquiry would be into whether any form of surveillance took place at the prison in 2005 and 2006 and if so, who authorised it. The inquiry is expected to be completed in two weeks. In a Commons statement, Mr Straw said he had learned of the allegations on Saturday afternoon and decided on the inquiry after discussing the matter with Home Secretary Jacqui Smith. He said authorisations are not granted "unless by law they are necessary for the detection or prevention of crime or the protection of national security" and the information could not be obtained by other means. Any authorisation for interception of phone calls requires a warrant personally signed by the relevant Secretary of State. The regime for intrusive surveillance operations by the police and other domestic law enforcement agencies was different, with a "hierarchy of approvals" depending on the nature of the operation. In the case of eavesdropping operations authorisation was required by a Chief Police officer. Ministers played no part in these authorisations. Mr Straw said: "Where any operation involves the use of premises of HM Prison Service, neither the service, nor the Minister concerned are asked for any additional authorisation for the particular operation." According to weekend press reports, police listened in to private conversations between Mr Khan and Ahmad using a microphone hidden in a table. Shadow home secretary David Davis said Mr Straw, who insisted no Minister had played any part in authorising the alleged bugging, had set out what should happen, rather than what had happened.
