Me practicing motorcycle slow motion with my BMW K1200RS rhino. Figure 8, circle, S turn. Dimemsion: 19.5 feet from solid line to dashed line; 23.5 feet from solid line to solid line. Can somehow make circle within 19.5 feet, but very in-consistent. Need more work.

I have a new way of practicing endurance with the 5 ball cascade (or any other semi-difficult continuous pattern) This video is extremely boring, but the only reason i posted it was to share this method of practicing with other jugglers (although i'm sure a lot of you do this already) According to many jugglers, a pattern is 'solid' when you can do a certain number of catches, juggle continuously for a specific duration of time, or do a certain amount of 'consecutive sets' of a certain number of catches. These are all great ways of testing yourself to see how well you can do a pattern, but honestly, i'm tired of counting.... So here's my new method of endurance practice: 1) Set a timer for 5min (or longer if you want) 2) Juggle the pattern over and over, while filming yourself 3) When your time is up, watch the playback, and count all the stops and drops I figure stopping the pattern before you drop is better than actually dropping, so that's why I count both stops and drops. Of course, the ultimate goal is to be able to go the whole 5min without stopping or dropping. I'm totally not able to do THAT, so instead i will try this endurance challenge every week or so, and hope to gradually have less stops/drops. If I could juggle a 5 ball cascade for 5min with only 1 or 2 stops/drops, i could finally consider my 5 ball cascade totally solid! ...someday... This time around i stopped 6 times, and dropped 9 times. That averages out to about 3 screw-ups per minute.... wow, i have a lot of work to do! luckily i have no life and can devote a lot of time to juggling. Try it out! balls, rings, clubs, 5min, 10min, whatever pattern you want to track your progress with! and have fun juggling, dammit!
