Arghandab, Afghanistan, Feb 17th 2008 : A suspected suicide bomb attack at a picnic spot in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar on February 17 killed at least 60 people and wounded dozens. According to the government there is a possibility that as many as 80 people got killed in the blast. The attack took place in a field where a crowd of people including policemen was gathered to watch dog fights in Arghandab, on the western outskirts of Kandahar city.
