Hawaii - Skiing Mauna Kea

Taking advantage of a break in the weather I got on my motorcycle and went up Saddle Road, a highway that crosses the island of Hawaii.

On a recent flight to Hilo, we passed by Mauna Kea, which is snow-capped for the third month in a row. Mauna Kea means "White Mountain", and it certainly applies this year.

This week I traveled to the top of Mauna Kea, the largest mountain in the world, to watch some snow skiing.

It was April Fools day of 2006. My sister took me to Mauna Kea for the first time in my life. I was soo loving the snow & I had fun.
