Hancuffed Rape Suspect Steals Police Car 4/12/06 5pm Gary Nelson MIAMI Miami-Dade Police have found the unmarked police car stolen Thursday morning during an attempted arrest of a sexual battery suspect, but Carlos Garay is still on the loose. The car was found abandoned at SW 97th avenue and SW 20th Terrace shortly before noon, about 3 hours after it was stolen from the hands of the police. Miami-Dade police thought they were going to arrest a man they believe burglarized two homes and sexually assaulted the victims who live there, but instead of leaving with their suspect, he left with one of their cars. Police are looking for help in finding 34 year old Carlos Garay, a man with a lengthy criminal record and a varied list of aliases. What police wanted him for today were two burglaries and sexual batteries which were committed in Southwest Miami-Dade in late 2005.
