Gas Leak Reported In Irvine

A gas leak in Orange County is causing traffic and MetroLink problems in Irvine. Derek Bell reports.

Baystate Gas Company at work on a gas leak after I reported it to the Springfield (MA) Fire Department yesterday (10-Mar-2008). I was walking down the sidewalk yesterday an noticed a strong smell of Natural Gas and then called 911 because I did not have the gas co. number programmed in my cellular telephone. This could have been allot worse because I witnessed people driving by in vehicles smoking cigarettes in their cars (I don't smoke). If someone would have tossed a spent cigarette from their car, the results could have been deadly.

Boise Fire and Police Departments responded to a reported gas leak at the multi-purpose building on the Boise State campus. The building and the adjacent parking garage were evacuated.

Workers were evacuated from the RSA Tower this morning when a gas leak was reported from a four inch gas main there. The leak has since been contained.
