Issues In America - Pendleton, Indiana - The meeting about the relocation of Fisher's Airport drew residents from several Townships Thursday evening at the Trinity Life Center west of Pendleton, Indiana. Madison County (Indiana) Commissioner Paul Wilson called the meeting to discuss the proposed airport move with local residents. Back-Round: The town of Fishers, Indiana wants to have the airport relocated because the land is more valuable for other commercial uses. Plus airports pay no local taxes as they are tax exempt. With that, it is said the town of Anderson, Indiana wants the airport in Madison County for a number of economic growth reasons. While officials from Anderson declined an invitation to attend, Pendleton, Lapel and other officials did come to talk about the airport relocation issue and the possible implications it would bring with it.
