These embers and twisted metal sheets are all that remains of a Zimbabwean township outside the South African capital, Pretoria. More than fifty shacks belonging to Zimbabweans were burned down after rioting on Monday, with locals and Zimbabweans blaming each other for theft and petty crimes. One Zimbabwean says that there is blame on both sides: (SOUNDBITE) (Shangaan) ZIMBABWEAN VICTIM MAXMOUS MOSHOMA, SAYING, "There are thieves amongst the Vendas (South African group) and thieves among the Kalangas (Zimbabwean group), these are the people who are messing up the relationship between the two groups - this is why we cannot live together in harmony." Although there were no fatalities, it is said that a Zimbabwean woman was assaulted and questioned about the whereabouts of her boyfriend. The influx of Zimbabweans is a reflection of the turmoil inside South Africa's recently impoverished neighbour. Benet Allen, Reuters
