I've been trying to get better at the double stroke roll. My instructor gave me an exercise with to practice, but in 12/8 time. it goes like this: S = Single stroke D = Double Stroke SSS SSS SSS SSS DSS DSS DSS DSS SSS SSS SSS SSS SDS SDS SDS SDS SSS SSS SSS SSS SSD SSD SSD SSD SSS SSS SSS SSS DDS DDS DDS DDS SSS SSS SSS SSS SDD SDD SDD SDD SSS SSS SDD DDD DDD DDD DDD DDD S Recording myself has made me see where my faults are (my hands are all over the place). I'm really working on getting arms to stay still, and making most of the motion in my wrists. I'm uploading these videos so that I can save them for future reference without clogging my hard drive. I don't expect anyone to really watch them, but if you have any advice to give, I'll listen!
