Northwest Airlines officials made a stop in Bismarck today to discuss the airline's recent problems. Since coming out of brankruptcy, the Northwest has cancelled many flights because of weather and pilot shortages. The meeting was called by Senator Byron Dorgan who says although we're a smaller state, our airline service is important for economic development and the economy. Ben Hirst with Northwest Airlines stressed that the company is committed to fixing any problems and has already addressed the issue of pilot shortages.
