Police have confirmed that a woman convicted of running a high-end prostitution ring in Washington has committed suicide in a Florida Gulf Coast town.

May 1: Florida authorities say the “D.C. madam” Deborah Palfrey commited sucided by hanging herself in a shed near her mother’s manufactured home about 20 miles northwest of Tampa.
