The death toll from a powerful cyclone that battered coastal areas of Bangladesh surpassed 2,300 on Sunday as aid organizations tried for a third day to reach survivors. Rescuers were struggling to clear roads of fallen trees to get to people still stranded, said Jock Baker, emergency co-ordinator for Care International. "There are some places that are just very difficult to get to, except by helicopter, and there are other needs for helicopters. They've a lot on their hands," he told CBC News.
