Dr. Ranya Habash talks to NewBaby.com about contact lenses and children. Dr. Habash completed her ophthalmology training from Texas Tech University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Preceding that, she graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, then returned to her home state to receive her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she was the President of her medical school class. Most recently, she was honored with the coveted Grand Rounds Presentation Award from Texas Tech University in 2003, then won a prestigious state-wide award from the Texas Ophthalmologic Association for an outstanding presentation in 2004. She is one of only a handful of ophthalmologists who has been invited to speak and be a presenter at the American Academy of Ophthalmology National Convention.
