Supporters of U.S. Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton demonstrate in downtown Indianapolis on Sunday (May 4) ahead of Tuesday's (May 6) presidential primary election. Supporters faced off on opposing street corners holding signs and chanting for their candidate. The rallies were held outside the site where both Clinton and Obama were scheduled to speak at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner. The rallies included a drum corps leading a march for Obama from the Indiana State capitol and a Clinton supporter singing a song dedicated to getting 'Hillary in the White House'. Obama supporter Kyle Flood told Reuters: "We want a Mid-West boy back in the White House. We're excited, we're ready to change America. We're fired up and ready to go." Clinton supporter Harriet Nasser said: "I think Hillary is the best of the selection of the two. I do think she will win that election, and it's because of her knowledge and experience in getting along so well with foreign leaders." Clinton Furious Over Mailers: 'Shame on You Barack Obama'ABC's Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton came to speak to reporters holding two mailers in her hand, visibly angry and animated. They are mailers that have been circulated before -- one mailer reminiscent of the "Harry and Louise" ads that ran in the early '90s, and another mailer quoting Clinton saying that NAFTA was a "boon." The New York senator said to reporters, as she waved the mailers back and forth, that she wanted to "express [her] deep disappointment that [Sen. Obama] is continuing to send false and discredited mailings with information that is not true to the voters of Ohio. He says one thing in speeches and then turns around and does this." She continued, "He continues to spend a million dollars perpetuating falsehoods that is not the new politics the speeches are about. It is not hopeful, it is destructive."Clinton then directly addressed Sen. Obama for his actions, saying "So shame on you Barack Obama. It is time you ran a campaign consistent with your messages in public. That is what I expect from you. Meet me in Ohio. Let's have a debate about your tactics and your behavior in this campaign."She continued to scold Obama saying, "These attacks on what we tried to do the last time we went after universal health care is the worst kind of politics. Number one, it is wrong and untrue and number two it is exactly the talking points the health insurance industry used on a daily basis. Sen. Obama knows that it is not true that my plan forces people to buy insurance even if they cant afford it."Clinton went after Obama's speeches in a harsher way that she has before. "Time and time again you hear one thing in speeches and then you see a campaign that has the worst kind of tactics reminiscent of the same sort of Republican attacks on Democrats. Well I am here to say that it is not only wrong but it is undermining core Democratic principles."Are the mailings a reflection of Obama's character? she was asked. Clinton did not directly answer the question, but said, "Sen. Obama knows, or should know, since he is paying for it, that these two mailings are false, they are false. We have discredited them, they have blanketed the states between Super Tuesday and today with these false misleading discredited mailings, so answer your question. I would if it were brought to my attention, say, wait a minute we shouldn't be doing this and we shouldn't."Clinton was asked if it was fair to ask her about NAFTA because it is attached to her husband's legacy. Clinton noted, "It wasn't negotiated by him, it was negotiated by the first Pres. Bush, it was passed and signed into law. And I have been a critic of NAFTA for years. As a senator I have raised questions about NAFTA, long before Sen. Obama started running for president." Clinton on Saturday Night Live Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton makes a cameo appearance on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." (CNN) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton met her match while appearing on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" to deliver the show's trademark opening line and provide an "editorial response" to a mock presidential debate. During the opening sketch -- which featured SNL actors playing Clinton, rival candidate Barack Obama and the debate moderators -- Clinton complimented the performance of Amy Poehler, who regularly lampoons Clinton with her impersonation of the senator from New York. "I simply adore Amy's impression of me," Clinton said, providing the cue for Poehler to enter the stage, wearing the same two-button brown jacket and sporting Clinton's medium-length, layered hairstyle. Poehler giddily thanked Clinton for appearing. "I love your outfit," the identically dressed Poehler told Clinton. "Well, I love your outfit," Clinton responded, putting her hand on Poehler's shoulder, "but I do want the earrings back." The quip sparked a hyperbolic cackle from Poehler. Clinton asked, "Do I really laugh like that?" The two jokingly agreed she did. Clinton appeared on the show ahead of several do-or-die primaries that will determine the fate of her campaign. During the segment, Poehler -- who also does impersonations of talk show host Kelly Ripa, "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul and pop star Michael Jackson -- asked Clinton, who trails Obama in the Democratic race, how her campaign was going. "The campaign is going very well. Very, very well," the former first lady responded before earning some laughs with a deadpan: "Why? What have you heard?" Clinton said she appeared on the show to "just relax, have fun" without politics, but she didn't miss her chance to address voters in delivering the opening line. Obama appeared unannounced in October, and GOP candidate Mike Huckabee did a bit on the show's "Weekend Update" last week. Also, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who dropped out of the GOP presidential race this year, appeared later in the show that Clinton opened. Senator Barak Obama was reaching out to undecided voters on Sunday (January 6), hoping to build on momentum from the Iowa caucuses. Obama, an Illinois senator seeking to be the first black U.S. president, built on his victory in Iowa last week with a significant bounce in New Hampshire, which votes on Tuesday (January 8).
